*529 accounts and their plans are held and managed by program administrators and managers outside of Betterment. 529s are only available as part of a bundled offering with a Betterment 401(k). Not available in the Essential plan.

Betterment at Work’s integration with OnPay helps simplify your 401(k) administration. Thanks to a 360° payroll integration, employee and payroll data flow back and forth seamlessly — no manual uploads or data entry required.
The integration automatically creates Betterment at Work 401(k) accounts for employees and handles off-boarding when someone leaves your company. Each pay period, contribution data—including employee deferrals, employer matches, and loan repayments—sync automatically between systems to help ensure accuracy and compliance.
