FFCRA mandatory employee rights poster

Last Updated: 3/30/2020

As part of the Family First Coronavirus Recovery Act (FFCRA), employees at small businesses may be entitled to several new benefits for sick and family leave. To make sure employees understand their options, employers are required to post notice of the requirements.

Meeting this requirement should be easy because the Department of Labor (DOL) just released a mandatory employee rights poster. It should be posted in your place of business, mailed to employees, or distributed to employees electronically (via email or online portal) by April 1, 2020.

The Department of Labor website also has detailed FAQs about the notice requirements.

To help you notify employees about their rights under the act, please see a sample email you can use below. You can also find more information about how to manage your team through COVID-19 in our Resource Center.
