Tax Operations Analyst - Full-time

The Tax Operations team is responsible for providing our clients with high-level support regarding the resolution of complex tax matters via OnPay’s online portal. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and enhance our core function. We fully understand that it is our client’s success that makes us great. By doing business in this way, we deliver an exceptional experience resulting in saved time and money for our clients. This position reports to the Sr. Tax Operations Manager.

 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide our clients support regarding the resolution of issues that impacts their historical and current payroll records and tax filings
  • Effectively troubleshoot and research problems to identify solutions for clients as well as internal teams
  • Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally to maintain client satisfaction and account accuracy
  • Ensure that documentation of client issues and resolution are comprehensive and professional
  • Research and respond to federal, state and local tax notices
  • Communicate with federal, state, and local tax agencies regarding client accounts and compliance matters
  • Maintaining and prioritizing workload cases based on urgency while participating in tax projects
  • Nurturing and developing knowledge about state and federal tax laws as changes occur
  • Effectively manage daily tasks, such as resolving client issues, garnishment processing, and tax filings/payments
  • Identifying and developing plans of resolution for tax matters

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in a technical customer service role
  • Experience in payroll and taxes (strongly preferred)
  • College experience (degree strongly preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience administering client information in a database
  • Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Suite, CRM, Adobe Acrobat, internal databases

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
